On November 18, 2017, Riding for a Reason hosted a bike run to benefit the family of Steven (shown above) who is battling osteosarcoma, or bone cancer. Steven has already lost one leg to the disease and his mom has found it necessary to stop working in order to obtain care for him. All proceeds went to the family to help meet the needs they have as a result of childhood cancer.
We had a poker hand, live music, Indian tacos, games, prizes and a lot of fun at Ritchie’s Barn outside Visalia, California. We also had a big surprise for Steven – A video game truck! Steven’s face lit up when he saw it! All the kids had a great time playing video games and enjoying virtual reality during the event. A great big “Thank You!” to 559 VR game truck out of Tulare, California.
